The Show Must Go On

If I were to create a documentary, my focus would be on the topic of the fashion industry. The fashion industry is filled with secrets of the demanding, harsh, and romanticized lifestyles of the models, designers, and everyone else involved with the creation of new fashions. My documentary would be titled, "Fashion Weak", due to serious training the models force themselves to endure, while working countless hours and hardly eating. This film would be observational, as I want to capture the "behind the scenes" feel by letting the models and designers organize their shows as severely and honestly as they normally do. I would like to be the director of this film, and as director, I would place cameras in the backstage area of the  Mercedes Benz Fashion Week shows to film the actions and discussions of the working people. I feel that it is important to expose the fashion industry as vulnerable and raw as possible to showcase the amount of  hard work, dedication, and drive it takes to create an extravaganza as glamorous as fashion week, but also how rigorous and iron-fisted the people behind the enchantment of this season's most treasured and desired looks.
